Hi I’m Kiran! 🙂
Welcome! So you may be wondering, what is ‘Invited by Kiki’ all about? It’s an open invitation to anyone that’s looking to grow and keep bettering themselves as individuals to get inspired, get creative and continue to broaden your horizons! As humans we have the ability to continually learn – with no limits. Invited by Kiki has been created to inspire and empower individuals through thoughtful positive content on topics such as wellness, beauty and travel through research and my own personal experiences. So excited to start sharing!
So, what’s the mission? To build a mindful community that actively makes time to think about their mind and body from the inside out. This could be through learning about new countries and cultures, thinking about the food you eat, how you look after your mind or even how you treat yourself and give yourself a break! The goal is to inspire YOU, to be the best version of yourself that you can be. Think of it as an open house, come in, have a look around, feel inspired and stay for a cup of tea to learn more!
How did it come about? Well, it happened during the one of the most pivotal years of my life: I married my high school sweetheart, put my corporate job on hold, packed my bags and moved to the Big Apple! I have always been a curious discoverer looking for my purpose, which has fueled my travelling all over the world. No this is not a blog about how I travelled to find myself etc; This is about sharing the beautiful fascinating cultures and wonderful experiences that have positively impacted my life. I’ve also been met with many hardships along the way and the way I cope is through actively checking in with myself and finding reasons to set goals and keep developing as one of the 7.8 billion people on this planet. Invited by Kiki was born to share these experiences with you and provide insight into many incredible experiences I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of (and some crazy ones that are worth trying!)
Tell us more about you? Well, let’s start with the fact that I’m British, meaning that I love a good cup of tea (yes I dip my biscuits in it too… so gooood!) I’m of Indian heritage, so I have been raised to be curious about different cultures and have a very strong craving for sweet desserts! I’m an inherently positive person that loves bringing people together and my goal is to continually explore, caving my own path in life!
What about your background? First thing to know about me is that my parents are my inspiration, my father was born in India and came to the UK when he was 22 with nothing but the clothes on his back, he had many businesses that failed yet he still managed to raise two children and feed a family of four (how grateful I am). My mother has the kindest soul and always reminds me to see the best people. I also have a younger brother who I love dearly. I am now lucky enough to have another little family with a husband that supports and pushes me to be the best person I can be and our sweet high energy puppy Biscuit!
What about your day job? In terms of my career, I studied a degree in Business and Management and have a passion for building brands. I worked at the Kraft Heinz Company for four years, developing and growing the iconic Heinz brand as well as eating a lot of soup, baked beanz and ketchup! As great as this was, I’m also keen to put the power of brand in to something I love and that is Invited by Kiki. I’m here to share, inspire and build a community of supportive people.
I’m so grateful to each of you for being a part of this journey, hopefully you’ll stick with Invited by Kiki as your own life adventures continue to grow!
All my love,
Kiran (Kiki)
I believe that you can create your own dream reality through a positive mentality and an open mind. These two are the largest part of the equation
